Overview

Developed in 2004 the Full scale Mobile Loading Simulator (Pave®MLS) has many advantages with its speed, manoeuvrability and versatility. The trafficking is: uni-directional and simulates real truck loading to serve as a basis for theoretical modelling. The maximum load on each set of dual wheels on the MLS Full Scale machines is 7.5tons (75kN) at maximum speed of 6m/s (22kph), giving 6,000 axle loads applied per hour.

Lateral movement of the device for simulating wander can be applied. Pave®MLS is driven by contactless linear induction motors, LIMs, requiring no gearbox thus no wear or fatigue of the drive system.
